Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

A legal disclaimer

Sorrelis Ltd

Financial Year Ending: 2026

1. Introduction

This statement is made by Sorrelis Ltd in accordance with the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps we have taken to understand and address the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.

Sorrelis Ltd is a UK-based staffing business that recruits, places, and coordinates remote executive assistants and support personnel for UK clients. Personnel are engaged through third-party Employer of Record providers in their local jurisdiction, primarily the Philippines.

2. Our Structure and Supply Chain

Sorrelis Ltd operates as a staffing and placement intermediary. Our supply chain is deliberately lean and consists primarily of:

  • Employer of Record providers, who legally employ Personnel in their local jurisdiction and are responsible for payroll, statutory contributions, benefits, employment documentation, and local employment law compliance;

  • individual Personnel, who are remote workers engaged through those EOR providers; and

  • UK-based clients, who receive staffing and placement services from Sorrelis.

We do not operate manufacturing, logistics, or physical supply chains. Our services are delivered remotely and digitally.

3. Our Policies

Sorrelis Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships. We will not knowingly work with any business or individual involved in modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, or human trafficking.

Our commitments are reflected in the following:

  • We engage only reputable, established Employer of Record providers who operate in compliance with local employment law and international labour standards.

  • Our contractual arrangements with EOR providers require them to take responsibility for payroll, statutory entitlements, employment documentation, and compliance with local employment law.

  • We do not charge fees to Personnel for placement or engagement.

  • Personnel are free to terminate their engagement in accordance with their employment terms and are not subject to any form of debt bondage, retention of documents, or coercive control by Sorrelis.

4. Due Diligence

When selecting and working with Employer of Record providers, we consider:

  • their compliance with local employment legislation;

  • their payroll and statutory contribution practices;

  • their processes for onboarding and offboarding workers; and

  • their general reputation and standing in the markets in which they operate.

We maintain ongoing account management relationships with our EOR providers and are in regular contact with them regarding operational and compliance matters.

5. Risk Assessment

We recognise that offshore staffing models, and in particular the engagement of workers in jurisdictions with different labour market conditions, carry an inherent risk of labour exploitation if not managed carefully.

The key risk mitigants in our model are:

  • all Personnel are legally employed by regulated EOR providers, not engaged as independent contractors or through informal arrangements;

  • EOR providers are contractually responsible for local employment law compliance;

  • Personnel receive employment contracts, statutory entitlements, and benefits in accordance with local law;

  • fees are paid to Personnel through formal payroll, not cash or informal channels; and

  • Sorrelis does not charge placement fees to Personnel.

We consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be low. We continue to monitor our supply chain and will take action if any concerns are identified.

6. Training and Awareness

We are committed to ensuring that those involved in our business understand the risks of modern slavery and know how to raise concerns. As our business grows, we will develop more formal training arrangements appropriate to our size and structure.

7. Reporting Concerns

Anyone who has concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking in connection with Sorrelis Ltd or its supply chain is encouraged to report those concerns to us directly at james@sorrelis.com.

Concerns can also be reported to the Modern Slavery Helpline on 08000 121 700 or at modernslaveryhelpline.org.
